Kristin MauerDirector of Business Development at Baker Tilly
Please share a little about yourself:
I’m really proud of my support of Baker Tilly’s (BT) recent merger with Moss Adams in June 2025. I’ve been instrumental in bridging many gaps in leadership between the two firms over the last quarter and all of our Bay Area teams in assurance, tax, and accounting advisory. I have a unique technology industry-focused role at BT in the PSO (professional sales organization), a role that Moss Adams didn’t have an equivalent to prior to the merger. I’m also taking a lead in integrating the heritage Moss Adams financial women team in FWSF due to my role historically on the programs committee. I have been organizing the learn to Golf series for the last two years. I pulled in our BT tax partners for a tax talk last spring and supported Sandra with crowdfunding for sponsors for our Tech Week event on Oct 7th.
What inspired you to join FWSF?
Wanting to formally lift up financial women in the Bay Area, not just at my firm, Baker Tilly.
What’s your favorite part of FWSF?
Programs committee, learn to Golf Series, International Women’s Day, and fundraising with Shay, and the Financial Women of the Year.
What’s your best career tip for women working in finance or financial services?
Pay it forward! Always offer to help first, either by making an introduction, verbally praising, or fundraising for a good cause.
