Our Summer New Member Happy Hour was a great success! We introduced new members to FWSF and to the board and committee members and learned more about their professional and personal lives.
Purva Bhatia, who found out about FWSF through the scholarship application process, shares her impression from the event:
"It was the first time I saw a room full of women so genuinely enthusiastic about finance and actively making an impact in the field, it's rare to find women working across so many different areas of finance under one roof. Discussing careers over snacks and drinks, I met wonderful people and made great connections who genuinely inspire me and help me achieve my goals. That's exactly what led me to join the Membership Committee, I wanted to help other women find their way to this community too." - Purva Bhatia
Purva joined the Membership committee to engage more with the organization — if you want to volunteer for a committee, reach out! It is a fun way to expand your network and give back.
